mixnetworks -- Discussion of theoretical and applied aspects of mix networks and related strong anonymity tools

About mixnetworks
English (USA)

The mix networks mailing list is for discussion of both theoretical and applied aspects of mix networks and related strong anonymity tools.

We maintain a bibliography of research related to mix networks and similar anonymity tools called MixBib. We encourage you to add referenced by sending a pull request on github. Additional resources including AnonBib (gitweb), CensorBib (github), the GNUNet Bibliography, and pdfs can usually be found on eprint.iacr.org.

There are naturally a wide range of topics which must be considered on-topic here, like funding for projects, properties of message delivery authentication schemes, network transport, and cryptographic primitives. At the same time, there are a variety of other mailing lists where you can find extensive past discussions on many of these same topics and find stronger discussions today : messaging@moderncrypto.org has discussion of secure messaging protocols, usually not in an anonymous context, but they cover message authentication and delivery especially well. curves@moderncrypto.org has discussion of elliptic curve cryptography. cryptanalytic-algorithms@googlegroups.com has discussions of the mathematics behind post-quantum cryptographic algorithms.

For general cryptographic discussions, crypto-practicum@lists.sonic.net is a low traffic moderated cryptography list without the political discussions of some cryptography lists, and crypto and security work well. Tor has an numerous mailing lists and tor.stackexchange.com.
